Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat – Set Design & Scenic Direction

I served as the lead scenic creative and set designer for Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat at Wyoming City Schools—one of my most imaginative and rewarding productions. While collaborating closely with an uber talented director, set construction engineers and an acclaimed choreographer I guided the overall scenic direction and worked hands-on from concept through execution. Created was a bold visual, story-driven stage environment fabricated by using mixed materials on a large-scale scenic build. Some of my notable hands on contributions included crafting a 12 -foot light up “Joseph”  sign and a 3D detailed gold-painted Egyptian sarcophagus that opened to reveal the iconic Pharaoh character - one of the show’s standout moments. This image captures the full stage in action, with lighting design that helped bring everything to life.
